being a mum

A. had her first nursery Christmas play yesterday, she was very nervous and didn't want to do it. I felt so sorry for her...I can't wait after very busy month to spend more time with her next couple of weeks. Like any other working mum I question myself and feel guilty a lot. But it's just so hard to find the right balance... isn't it?

  1. Lovely V, I think that lots of children find performances difficult, it is not a reflection on parenting choices, just our natural nerves showing through. Whether you work or stay at home, there is always something in the realm of parenting to feel guilty about. Personally, I think that if the mother is happy with whatever decision they make, the child will be happy.
You are the best thing for A, full time or part time does not play apart in it, you enjoying moments, making memories form that.

  2. I constantly 'beat myself up' over the fact that I work and do not always give all of myself to my little man, but with a husband who has a very erratic income, my work means the difference between holiday or no holiday, days out or no days out, trips to the cinema etc ... M x
